Terms of use
Effective date: 8 October 2026
These terms apply to mildfactor.online, published by BETA - CZECH, s.r.o., Kollárova 1114/5, Pražské Předměstí, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, company number 25977067, VAT number CZ25977067. By reading this site you accept them.
1. General information only
Everything here is general information about common computer problems. It is not professional advice, security advice, legal advice or financial advice, and it is not tailored to any particular person, device or situation. No relationship of adviser and client arises from reading it.
This site does not and cannot examine your computer. Nothing here is a diagnosis. Where a problem matters, a qualified technician who can look at the machine, or the official guidance of the Australian Cyber Security Centre at cyber.gov.au, should be preferred over anything written here. The answers on this site are no substitute for either.
2. Acting on what you read
You decide whether to follow any step described here. Where an answer involves changing settings, removing software or resetting a browser, make a copy of anything you cannot replace before you begin.
3. Product information changes
Software products change their features, editions, system requirements, prices and terms without notice, and this site does not track those changes in real time. Any description of a product here is a general one. The vendor's own website is the authoritative source for what a product currently includes and what it costs, and should be checked before any purchase.
4. Third-party sites
This site links to government bodies, to software vendors and, through disclosed affiliate links, to a commercial product. Those sites are operated by other organisations. BETA - CZECH, s.r.o. does not control them, is not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, which govern your use of it. The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial links specifically.
5. Availability
The site is published as it is and as available, and pages are revised and occasionally removed.
6. Intellectual property
The text, layout, stylesheet, script and illustrations belong to BETA - CZECH, s.r.o. unless stated otherwise. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Trademarks: Norton AntiVirus Plus and the other product names, logos and brands on this site are owned by their respective owners. Other than the paid affiliate links explained in our disclosure, Mildfactor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
7. Liability, and what cannot be excluded
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law and that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. In particular, the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by anything on this page.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law permits, BETA - CZECH, s.r.o. is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on the information on this site, from its unavailability, or from your dealings with any third party whose site is linked from here. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the information again.
8. Conduct
Do not interfere with the site or place an unreasonable automated load on the server.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and the version in force when you read the site is the one that applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, where BETA - CZECH, s.r.o. is established, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction. This does not displace any protection available to you as a consumer under the law of your own country of residence, including the Australian Consumer Law for readers in Australia, and does not deprive you of the right to bring proceedings where the law of your country of residence permits.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms go to info@mildfactor.online, or by post to BETA - CZECH, s.r.o., Kollárova 1114/5, Pražské Předměstí, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic.
