What this address is useful for

  • Suggestions for questions that are missing and that other readers would plausibly ask.
  • Privacy requests, including access to or correction of information held about you. Put "Privacy request" in the subject line, as described in the Privacy Policy.

What it cannot help with

Mildfactor does not provide technical support. There is no diagnosis service, no remote assistance and no individual troubleshooting, and nobody from this site will ever ask for access to your computer or offer to telephone you about it. For a problem with one specific machine, a local technician or the vendor's own support channel will do better.

It also cannot help with an account you have lost access to, because only the service that holds the account can restore it, or with a payment dispute, which belongs with your bank and the vendor.

If you are reporting a scam

Reports belong with the agencies that act on them rather than with this site. Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au collects scam reports in Australia, ReportCyber through cyber.gov.au is the route for cybercrime, and the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au handles online abuse and harmful content. If money has moved, telephone your bank first.

Before you write

Please do not send health details, financial account numbers, identity documents or other sensitive information. None of it is needed to answer anything, and anything of that kind that arrives is deleted once the message has been dealt with. What happens to an email after it arrives, and how long it is kept, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
